Men's Sexuality

"Its a boy!"

It is likely that the first thing ever said about you was about your sexuality.

Sexuality is one of the most fundamental parts of a man's life. It permeates everything he is and does.

Because of testosterone, men see and interact with the world differently from women. Not better. And certainly not worse. Just differently.

The Bible says that, among all the creatures, only humans are made in the image of God.

"Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." (Genesis 1:26-27 New International Version)

Both sexes are needed to convey the image of God. Not a plain-vanilla, sexless "humans," but men as men, and women as women, together demonstrating something of who God is. When - for whatever reason - men don't embrace their masculinity as God intended it, a caricature - a distortion of God's image is portrayed, as well as a caricature of masculinity.

Tragically, men's sexuality, as God originally designed it, is under siege in our day. Sexual addictions, on the one hand, have claimed millions of men. On the other, confusion about sexual attraction and identity is undermining many more.
