Fees & Payment InformationMany clients choose to use their insurance benefits to receive behavioral health care. For them, paying an affordable co-pay at the time of service allows them to get the care they need and want. To accommodate these people, I am an in-network provider with the following insurance companies:
Clients who want to use behavioral health benefits from a company different than the ones listed above should with their carrier to determine any "out-of-network" benefits they may be entitled to. Typically "out-of-network" benefits are reimbursed to the client. I am also a provider for the following Employee Assistance Programs (EAP):
Clients who wish to use their EAP benefits from one of these carriers are encouraged to contact the carrier to get an authorization for treatment from the EAP before contacting me. Some clients elect to pay for their care "out-of-pocket." There are a number of reasons why this is attractive. First, they have greater freedom to see the therapist of their choice, and not be restricted to choose from a list of therapists approved by their insurance company. Second, they are concerned that their treatment history might follow them if they change insurance companies. Third, some clients feel stigmatized having a diagnostic code attached to their concern. To accommodate these conerns, I accept private pay-for-service payments. Counseling sessions are 45 - 50 minutes in length. Our customary fee is $75 per session. Payment by check or cash is requested at the time of service. |
